The Sales Development Representative is responsible for driving top-of-funnel pipeline generation through outbound prospecting, strategic account mapping, and meeting generation, supporting senior sales reps in the process.

Responsibilities

  • Execute high-volume outbound prospecting across corporate, consulting, and financial services accounts
  • Cold call decision makers and gatekeepers daily — phone is your primary weapon
  • Write customized, research-backed emails tailored to each prospect’s role, firm, and likely pain points
  • Map target organizations: identify the right stakeholders, understand reporting structures, and find the best path to a conversation
  • Set qualified meetings for senior True North Insights sales reps and ensure clean, thorough handoffs
  • Manage both new logo prospecting and expansion outreach within existing accounts
  • Log all activity and maintain CRM hygiene — if it isn’t tracked, it didn’t happen
  • Ramp your knowledge of how corporate strategy teams, consulting practices, and financial services firms use expert networks — credibility matters on the phone

Skills

  • Bachelor's degree with any academic background — we don't care what you studied; we care how you think and how you work
  • 0-2 years of professional sales or business development experience
  • You're comfortable on the phone and don't need to warm up to cold calling — you embrace it
