The Job

Signal Advisors is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trader to join our dynamic team. This critical role is responsible for the sophisticated management and execution of investment portfolios, ensuring optimal trade execution, and robust risk management. The Trader will also play a pivotal role in expanding our client base through strategic onboarding, delivering exceptional client service, and providing essential support to the Head of Trading.

What You'll Get To Do
  • Execute complex trades across various asset classes, ensuring precision and accuracy, efficiency, and best execution quality in a high-volume environment.
  • Invest and manage on an on-going basis client accounts into advanced investment strategies across multiple custodial platforms.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate trading risks, meticulously monitoring trade settlement, and resolving any trade discrepancies or errors with urgency.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all regulatory requirements and firm policies, contributing to the development and implementation of best practices in compliance.
  • Collaborate extensively with the trading team, taking initiative in standardizing trading procedures, optimizing workflows, and ensuring comprehensive trading coverage.
  • Provide an unparalleled level of service for Advisors and their offices, acting as a primary point of contact for inquiries related to trades, cashiering, and portfolio performance, while proactively addressing any potential concerns.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of trading operations, including the evaluation and integration of new technologies and methodologies.

What You Have
  • 5+ years of trading experience at a TAMP (Turnkey Asset Management Program) or RIA (Registered Investment Advisor) in the wealth management industry, demonstrating a strong track record of success.
  • Series 65 / 66 or other industry designations are strongly preferred, or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
  • Strong working knowledge of major custodians like Charles Schwab and Fidelity.
  • Extensive trading experience across a broad range of asset classes, including equities, ETFs, mutual funds, fixed-income, and structured notes.
  • Proven expertise trading sleeves (UMAs) in a Trade Order Management system to implement complex investment strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies, with a passion for process improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Experience trading within Orion's Eclipse is strongly preferred.
  • Comprehensive understanding of compliance and risk management principles within a trading context.

Compensation & Benefits

The US base salary for this full-time position is determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, and alignment with market data.
