<p><strong>Position Summary: </strong></p><p>As part of the weavix Engineering team, the QA Analyst is part of our QA program that not only safeguards the quality of our products, but also fosters a “quality culture,” in which all employees become actively engaged in guaranteeing quality in both development and the finished product.</p><p><br></p><p>This role requires a meticulous and analytical mindset with a passion for technology and a drive to continuously improve software quality. The QA Analyst plays a critical role in all stages of the development lifecycle—from initial planning to final release—ensuring our mobile and web applications meet the highest standards of reliability, usability, and performance. They are instrumental in identifying gaps, advocating for end-user experience, and driving efficiencies through innovative testing strategies. A successful QA Analyst at weavix thrives in a collaborative, Agile environment and is committed to delivering superior digital products that align with both technical specifications and business goals.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate the functionality, usability, and performance of our mobile and web applications.</li><li>Perform manual testing on mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms, including smartphones and tablets, to identify defects, ensure compatibility, and validate adherence to quality standards.</li><li>Utilize testing tools such as Jira and Zephyr Scale to manage test cases, track defects, and report test results effectively, ensuring clear communication with cross-functional teams.</li><li>Develop and maintain automated test suites using QA automation tooling, such as Selenium, Appium, or similar, to increase testing efficiency and coverage across mobile and web platforms.</li><li>Execute automated test scripts on mobile devices and web browsers, analyze test results, and troubleshoot issues to identify root causes, ensuring the stability and reliability of the software.</li><li>Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and developers to understand requirements, acceptance criteria, and user stories, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and alignment with business objectives.</li><li>Participate actively in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint demos, providing valuable input on testing efforts and priorities.</li><li>Document test cases, test results, and defects meticulously, maintaining clear and organized records, and communicate findings effectively to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.</li><li>Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in software testing and quality assurance, sharing knowledge and insights with the team to drive continuous improvement.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Minimum knowledge, skills and abilities required:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field.</li><li>3-6 years of experience in software quality assurance or testing role, with a focus on mobile (iOS and Android) and web application testing, preferably in a SaaS or technology startup environment.</li><li>Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices, with hands-on experience in both manual and automated testing.</li><li>Proficiency in testing tools such as Jira and Zephyr Scale for test case management, defect tracking, and test reporting.</li><li>Experience with QA automation tooling, such as Selenium, Appium, or similar, and proficiency in writing and executing automated test scripts.</li><li>Demonstrated proficiency in multi-layer testing of mobile applications on iOS and Android platforms, and in cross-browser testing of web applications.</li><li>Excellent analytical, writing and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot issues, analyze complex systems, and identify root causes effectively.</li><li>Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.</li><li>Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering high-quality results and meeting project deadlines in a fast-paced startup environment.</li><li>Demonstrated growth mindset and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Why weavix</strong></p><p>Being a part of the weavix team is being a part of something bigger.
