American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is the leading payments provider for businesses and corporations of all sizes, with small business being the largest customer segment. The Global Commercial Services Marketing team (GCSM) is responsible for making business membership essential by creating and delivering world class marketing for our differentiated products and services that drives demand and inspires engaged card members across the customer lifecycle. GCSM markets a breadth of products across charge, lending, co-brand, and corporate cards. It is also offers a range of small business banking and B2B solutions.

The Senior Manager, Change Enablement and Training will support GCS Marketing’s transition to the future-state marketing execution model powered by Project Flywheel. Reporting to the Director, Change Enablement and Adoption, this role is responsible for delivering hands-on training and enablement that ensures marketers, analysts, and leaders are prepared to adopt new tools, processes, and ways of working.

Project Flywheel is the enterprise-wide initiative reimagining how American Express plans, builds, and delivers marketing by connecting technology, operations, and people. This role will focus on translating change into practical, role-based learning experiences that reduce friction, build confidence, and accelerate adoption across GCS Marketing.

Key Responsibilties:

  • Design and deliver role-based training pathways for marketers, analysts, and leaders aligned to Flywheel ways of working
  • Develop clear, actionable learning assets including playbooks, quick-start guides, and day-one readiness materials
  • Partner with Product and Marketing Operations to translate new capabilities into practical, “how-to” guidance
  • Provide hands-on enablement support through office hours, launch support, and embedded coaching during early adoption phases
  • Track training completion, readiness indicators, and common adoption challenges to inform continuous improvement

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience designing and delivering training or enablement programs within complex, matrixed organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to translate new tools, processes, or capabilities into clear, role-specific guidance
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity and drive understanding
  • Comfort operating in fast-paced, evolving environments and adapting enablement approaches as needs change
  • Bachelor’s degree required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting large-scale transformation or ways-of-working initiatives
  • Familiarity with enterprise marketing platforms (e.g., Adobe or Salesforce Marketing Cloud) 

Salary Range: $103,750.00 to $174,750.00 annually + bonus + benefits
