The Role

We're looking for a performance-driven User Acquisition Manager to help run UA for our utility app suite — including Cleaner, AppLock, our soon-to-be-acquired VPN app, QR Code Scanner, Smart & Easy Cleaner, and others — working alongside Steve, our UA Principal on this vertical. You'll work at the intersection of marketing, data, creative strategy, and App Store Optimization, with direct ownership of paid UA campaigns across platforms such as Meta, Google UAC, TikTok, programmatic DSPs, and rewarded ad networks, across a mix of in-app-advertising and subscription monetization models. This is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director of UA & Growth, partnering closely with Steve to run and grow the utility suite.

Who You Are and What You'll Do

  • Plan, launch, and optimize UA campaigns across core paid channels: Meta, Google, TikTok (SRNs/SANs), Programmatic DSPs, and more, for the utility app suite (Cleaner, AppLock, VPN, QR Code Scanner, Smart & Easy Cleaner, and others).
  • Partner with Steve to run day-to-day UA execution across the utility suite, sharing ownership of pacing, spend efficiency, and KPI performance (CPI, CPA, eCPM/ARPI, trial-to-paid conversion, subscriber LTV, and payback, depending on the app's monetization model).
  • Own or heavily inform ASO strategy for the utility suite — keyword strategy, store listing optimization, and competitive positioning to win in a crowded, generic app category.
  • Collaborate with creative teams to develop and test ad concepts, messaging, and formats tailored to each app's monetization model.
  • Analyze and report on campaign performance to other members of the growth team, aiming to uncover actionable insights & optimizations.
  • Identify and test new growth channels, networks, and strategies suited to IAA and subscription dynamics.

What You Bring to the Team

  • A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience.
  • 1-4 years of hands-on experience buying mobile app ads with seven-figure monthly budgets while achieving target KPIs.
  • Strong understanding of ASO — comfortable owning keyword strategy, listing optimization, and competitive positioning in a generic, highly competitive app category.
  • Proven ability to scale UA efficiently in a mobile-first environment; exposure to both ad-monetized and subscription apps is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills, fluent in Excel/Sheets, and familiar with tools like Mixpanel, Google Analytics, Looker, Tableau, and Singular.
  • AI-native — goes beyond prompting for quick answers; comfortable building and iterating on AI-driven workflows or lightweight agents for reporting, creative testing, or ASO monitoring.
  • Experience with MMPs and performance marketing attribution/
  • Self-starter who thrives on autonomy, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Personal Attributes

  • Creative: A visionary thinker with the ability to develop innovative ideas that align with business goals and resonate with the target audience.
  • Efficient: Ability to work strategically and efficiently, optimizing resources to deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines.
  • Adaptable: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote, and iterative environment.
  • Analytical: Passion for turning data into insight and insight into growth.
  • Collaborative: Energized by working with creative, product, and data teams.
  • Alignment with our core values:
    • Accountable: You take ownership of your responsibilities, demonstrating trustworthiness and self-discipline. You are consistent in your work, transparent in your actions, and communicate effectively. You follow through on commitments and strive for continuous improvement.
    • Action-driven: Identify what is most important, agree on scope, execute in a timely manner, and drive the greatest impact.  You take initiative, roll up your sleeves, and get things done.
    • Caring: You genuinely care about yourself and others, our business and craft, our mission and vision, and are passionate in heart and mind. You understand the importance of our team and strive to create a positive, supportive work environment.
    • Curious: You focus on the ‘why,’ learn and expand your knowledge, explore new ideas, and generally make things better.  You're a lifelong learner with a thirst for knowledge and a constant desire to improve.
    • Thorough: Your work is thoughtful, impactful, timely, accurate, and complete.  You pay attention to detail, are meticulous, and ensure quality work and compliance.

This role requires a deep understanding of App Store Optimization and generic-category app dynamics to win visibility and conversion in a crowded, highly competitive app category.
