This role will be responsible for driving the execution of PR operations goals and objectives in support of department strategy, ensuring PR programs are delivered consistently, efficiently, and to a high standard globally, while managing work intake, priorities, and resources across regions, practices, industries, and time zones to ensure timely, consistent, high-quality delivery support. This role will be located in ourNew York office. Please note that this role may be eligible for a flexible working schedule that allows for a hybrid and in-office presence.Responsibilities & QualificationsOther key responsibilities include:Challenging conventional approaches and designs, implementing, and improving PR processes, systems, and tools, including the use of AI to increase efficiency, streamline workflows, and enhance service deliveryBuilding and maintaining effective relationships with vendors who support PR operations, including media monitoring, media databases, content aggregators, among othersPromoting global operational standards across the PR function and supporting consistent execution by maintaining practical guidance and best practicesDeveloping, scaling, and maintaining team guidance, playbooks, protocols, and messaging resources to promote consistent, high-quality delivery across the global PR functionOverseeing global PR reporting and performance metrics, producing dashboards, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to systems, efficiency, and impact that support positive business outcomesProtecting and maintaining any highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, financial, and/or proprietary information that Latham & Watkins retainsWe’d love to hear from you if you:Possess deep knowledge of public relations operations and press office best practices, including media relations workflows, editorial planning, monitoring and reporting, and issue vettingDisplay the demonstrated ability to develop scalable operational plans, systems, and processes, with expertise in project and resource management tools (e.g., Asana), and proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, Teams, and AI-enabled toolsExhibit experience managing enterprise PR technologies and vendor relationships, including media monitoring and database platforms, editorial calendars, content aggregators, and awards programsAnd have:A bachelor’s degree or equivalent, preferably in Communications, Public Relations, or JournalismA master’s degree or equivalentA minimum of ten (10) years of relevant public relations experience in an in-house or agency environmentA minimum of ten (13) years of cumulative experienceProfessional experience in and familiarity with the legal industry, preferablyBenefits & Additional InformationSuccessful candidates will not only be provided with an outstanding career opportunity and welcoming environment, but will also be provided with a generous total compensation package with bonuses awarded in recognition of both individual and firm performance.
