Job Description

Career.zycto is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Cybersecurity Analyst to join our dynamic and fully remote team. As a key member of our security operations, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our clients' digital assets and infrastructure from an ever-evolving threat landscape. This remote role offers the flexibility to work from your home office, collaborating with a geographically dispersed team of experts dedicated to maintaining robust security postures. You will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity incidents, ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of information systems.

You will play a crucial role in implementing security measures, conducting vulnerability assessments, and contributing to the development of our security policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor security systems for anomalies, incidents, and potential breaches, responding swiftly to mitigate threats.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of security events, logs, and alerts to identify root causes and patterns of attack.
  • Perform vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify weaknesses in systems and applications, recommending and implementing remediation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and best practices in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in incident response activities, including containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on cybersecurity best practices to internal teams and clients.
  • Stay current with the latest cybersecurity threats, technologies, and trends to enhance our defensive capabilities.

Required Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role (SOC Analyst, Security Engineer, etc.)
  • Proficiency with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, QRadar, Sentinel) for log analysis and incident detection.
  • Solid understanding of network protocols, operating systems (Windows, Linux), and cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with vulnerability management tools and methodologies (e.g., Qualys, Nessus, Burp Suite).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of explaining complex security issues clearly.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a remote, distributed team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
  • Relevant industry certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, CySA+, GSEC, or CISSP.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation and data analysis.
