This is a hybrid position, with mainly remote work, but the potential for in-person meetings and travel located in the Rochester, NY, Syracuse, NY, and Boston, MA areas. Our business is client-centered and revolves around deadlines. This position has expectations for increased production during January – May, with significant flexibility throughout the summer and fall.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>-         Planning and performing audit engagements.</p><p>-         Collaborate closely with both clients and our team to assist in managing engagement timelines and</p><p>budgets.</p><p>-         Supervise and delegate work to staff members through the audit process providing review, training,</p><p>and guidance.</p><p>-         Preparing financial statements and disclosures.</p><p>-         Develop a strong relationship with clients and team remotely through email, virtual calls, and in-</p><p>person meetings.</p><p>-         Identify accounting or internal control issues.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications and Expectations:</strong></p><p>-         CPA or CPA candidate</p><p>-         2+ years of experience in public accounting.</p><p>-         Have a strong fundamental understanding of US GAAP accounting and GAAS.</p><p>-         Desire to continue learning and seek opportunities for growth.</p><p>-         Experience with small businesses (<$50M) and non-profits</p><p>-         Excellent communication skills coupled with strong emotional intelligence.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>What we offer:</strong></p><p>-         Opportunity for quick advancement in both title and compensation.</p><p>-         Open team atmosphere with honesty and integrity.</p><p>-         Our small ownership team has no patience for bureaucracy and allows decisions to be made quickly</p><p>to achieve the best outcomes.</p><p>-         Compensation: $80,000+</p><p>-         401(k) with 4% match</p><p>-         Sizeable discretionary bonuses are available for those who hit their goals.</p><p>-         Annual review of position, compensation, goals & objectives.</p><p>-         Flexible and understanding team atmosphere.</p>
