<strong>Job Summary<br><br></strong>We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented <strong>Buyer & Procurement Specialist</strong> to join our team and drive excellence in our purchasing and supply operations. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing procurement, inventory management, and vendor relations to ensure seamless production. Your expertise in market analysis, <strong>ERP systems (specifically Odoo)</strong>, and negotiation will be essential to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and support continuous improvement initiatives across the organization. This position offers an exciting opportunity to impact our operational success through innovative problem-solving and strategic planning.<br><br><strong>Duties<br><br></strong><ul><li>Strategic Purchasing: Act as the primary purchaser by identifying supply needs, sourcing materials, and negotiating pricing and terms to ensure Highline receives the best value and quality</li><li>Decision Making & Accountability: Exercise independent judgment to resolve pricing disputes or logistics hurdles, taking full professional accountability for the success of your assigned categories</li><li>Odoo Order Lifecycle: Manage the full procurement cycle within Odoo, including creating Purchase Orders (POs), tracking shipments, and ensuring all product data and pricing are current</li><li>Vendor Management: Lead vendor registration and maintain strong relationships; resolve issues related to contracts, quality discrepancies, and service levels</li><li>Logistics & Coordination: Oversee the movement of goods from the vendor to our facility, managing all logistics documentation and troubleshooting delays to ensure zero downtime for our operations</li><li>Administrative & Clerical Support: Perform essential clerical work to support the department, including maintaining precise digital records and providing lifecycle support for every order</li><li>Collaborate with manufacturing teams on demand planning, production scheduling, and inventory control to meet customer requirements efficiently</li><li>Optimize logistics operations by coordinating transportation, warehousing, and distribution activities to improve delivery times and reduce costs<br><br></li></ul><strong>Experience<br><br></strong><ul><li>Proven experience in supply chain management or logistics roles within a manufacturing or distribution environment</li><li>High school diploma or equivalent required. College or commercial school courses in business functions (Purchasing, Logistics, or Supply Chain) are preferred</li><li>Minimum three years of experience in a Supply Chain or Purchasing role, with a demonstrated knowledge of procurement functions and order lifecycle management</li><li>Proficiency in Odoo (Purchase and Inventory modules) is highly preferred</li><li>Must have a proven ability to work independently, make critical decisions under pressure, and maintain a high level of professional accountability</li><li>Familiarity with inventory management systems and demand planning processes</li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and process optimization.
