SQL/Power BI Developer / Data Warehouse Engineer (100% Remote) – Los Angeles County Project

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in data processing, database development, and programming, including 4+ years in a lead role
  • 3+ years of recent experience developing Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Advanced expertise in Power BI, DAX, Power Query, calculated measures, calculated columns, KPIs, row-level security (RLS), interactive dashboards, and report performance optimization
  • Strong experience with SQL, PL/SQL, T-SQL, stored procedures, triggers, views, query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and performance tuning
  • Hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL
  • Experience with Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Synapse Analytics, SSIS, ETL development, data integration, data transformation, and data migration
  • Strong knowledge of data modeling, dimensional modeling, normalization, star schema, snowflake schema, dimension hierarchies, data marts, staging, and enterprise data warehouses
  • Experience with data cleansing, data profiling, data validation, and ensuring data quality
  • Proficiency with Power Query, Python, Shell scripting, or other scripting languages for ETL automation
  • Experience with SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), SQL*Plus, Oracle SQL Developer, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, compliance, and sensitive data protection
  • Experience gathering business requirements and delivering executive-level dashboards
  • Experience supporting enterprise-scale analytics and reporting environments
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets in Azure and Microsoft SQL ecosystems
