Prepare specifications and technical detail to fully define function on equipment

Fully understand and ensure procedural adherence to industry operating standards such as the NEC and NFPA.
Document control system and equipment configuration changes and keep the documentation updated on the global project repository
Partner with all FC stakeholders in order to build effective relationships
This role requires 50% regional travel and availability to work from a corporate office when not traveling. Candidates should either live near or be willing to relocate within a reasonable commuting distance of the office. Relocation assistance may be provided.

The Concept Development & Design Team will support retrofit designs for first mile retrofits as well as controls & solutions development to be used for future projects.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of control system experience including PLC based controls design, development, implementation and support. E.g. Allen Bradley, Siemens, Codesys, Beckhoff
Experience with HMI/SCADA system applications. E.g. Allen Bradley, Schneider, C-More and Ignition
Experience with programming languages for runtime applications E.g. Python, C++, Rust
Experience with embedded systems development
Knowledge of real-time operating systems (RTOS)
Experience in design and/or support of material handling systems, flow and capacity.
Experience in industrial networking and communications including topology design and familiarity with TCP/IP and Fieldbus applications
Experience in reviewing electrical schematics, Autocad
Experience with control systems hardware including VFD’s, Servo Controllers, and digital and analog sensors

Preferred Qualifications

4 year degree in engineering, or degree in other related technical discipline
Strong IPC based control systems experience, decentralized controls architectures, and cloud or edge compute controlling equipment
Understanding of memory management and optimization techniques
Experience with debugging tools and performance optimization
Knowledge of software design patterns and best practices
