Description

We're seeking an inventive and entrepreneurial Sr Prototype Engineer to join Amazon Devices - Z1 Emerging, a special projects team dedicated to inventing breakthrough consumer product categories. You will own aspects of the invention, design, and development of a radically new product across the software and hardware experience. You'll be part of a team that embraces design thinking, rapid experimentation, building to learn, and isn't afraid to abandon good ideas in pursuit of great ones. Participate in the full lifecycle of product development; including ideation, design, development, implementation and validation
Answer the team’s hard problems through quick prototypes and thorough documentation
Build high-quality, functional prototypes that convey, prove, and advance the vision of future products and applications
Work side-by-side with Product, Hardware, UX, and ID teams to turn high level concepts into detailed product designs, mockups, and prototypes.
Build prototypes with ID-intent in mind, while following Hardware restrictions.

Basic Qualifications

5+ years of professional experience in electronics device prototyping and/or experiential design.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product designs from concept to production.
