The Worldwide Amazon Stores Talent Acquisition (WWAS TA) Central, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion team (CDIT) is looking for a Sr DEI Business Analyst (BA) to: 1) Drive a DEI TA data product roadmap, 2) Own global, cross-functional DEI TA Data initiatives, and 3) Conduct recruiting funnel analyses. This BA will serve as the face of WWAS TA DEI Data initiatives, indexing on Customer Obsession and Earns Trust, and will have high visibility across Director and VP stakeholders, as well as key Recruiting leaders, DEI teams, and other data & analytics teams.


WWAS TA DEI Data Product Roadmap


  • Partner with the Recruiting leaders, DEI TA Program Managers, WWAS TA data & analytics team (ASTA) to create and own a product roadmap for DEI TA products across WWAS TA.
  • Identify tool and product requirements for dashboards, and other analytics tools for CDIT's diversity recruiting mechanisms in partnership with DEI TA Program Managers

DEI Data Analyses & Upskilling


  • Run (bi)weekly SIM sprints to track/fulfill CDIT DEI TA Data SIMs including data pulls for government reporting, dashboard feature requests, or questions about data integrity
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses with a DEI lens to identify key insights for Sr Manager+ audiences. This includes analyses on progress towards Amazon's DEI goals.

DEI TA Data Initiatives


  • Partner with other Amazon Talent Acquisition (ATA) teams and data analytic teams on DEI TA data best practices, governance, compliance, and standardization, in compliance with Amazon's Diversity Data policies.

Key job responsibilities


  • Partner with cross functional partners (IxT, DEI PMs, ASTA, ATA DEI Data POCs, etC) to drive alignment and execution of priorities, and understand the nuances of employee, candidate, and other employee life-cycle data
  • Drive long-term DEI TA Data strategy in close collaboration with business, delivery and technology teams to support the recruiting needs of our growing business. This involves helping to define the process transformation roadmap and designing industry-transforming solutions that align to enhancing existing processes and practice. Team members should be strong Amazon writers.
  • Set performance goals and metrics, timelines and a formal tracking process to measure and manage progress.
  • Communicate effectively to recruiting teams and business stakeholders to drive adoption and feedback collection around new solution launches/changes

A day in the life


The ideal candidate will have a proven track-record of end to end program management with a focus on DEI employee lifecycle data, from concept and design through implementation, measurement and continuous improvement. You must be able to take an idea and develop it into a broader vision, gain buy in from stakeholders and seamlessly deliver upon it.


Additionally, this candidate will be a strong writer, have strong analytic capabilities, and be familiar with both front-end and back-end dashboard builds. This candidate will be the face of CDIT DEI Data initiatives, and need to index on high customer obsession, with an ability to translate complex data topics into accessible communications for large audiences, keeping key stakeholders informed.

Basic Qualifications


  • 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
  • 3+ years of writing SQL queries and creating business intelligence reports using Tableau, Power BI experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insights
  • Experience with Excel
  • Experience with SQL

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $106,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
