RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Design, implement, maintain, monitor and support Java server-side applications that are driven by a SQL Server database
  2. Support and implementation of customer, vendor and carrier integrations
  3. Provide tactical, holistic and forward-looking technical recommendations while partnering with IT leadership and business stakeholders
  4. Communicate concisely and professionally with users & leadership while working on requests and projects
  5. Balance day-to-day requests and project work effectively
  6. Perform other appropriate duties at management discretion

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
  2. 1-4+ years’ experience developing database driven Java applications required
  3. Experience with Java API & other standard Java libraries required
  4. Knowledge of AngularJS, Vaadin or other comparable web application frameworks required
  5. Experience with SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Maven, JPA, or Eclipselink required
  6. Experience with Tomcat, WildFly, or equivalent preferred
  7. Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD methodologies and toolsets strongly preferred
  8. Experience with AI powered Software Development tools (Claude Code, CoPilot) preferred
  9. Ability to learn quickly & willingness to assist in a variety of technologies
  10. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to partner with internal and external stakeholders
  11. Independently analyze and troubleshoot issues before engaging external resources
