We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Engineer with extensive experience in SAP to join our dynamic team in the civil engineering sector. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing procurement processes, ensuring the timely acquisition of materials and services necessary for our projects. This position requires a strong understanding of procurement regulations, supply chain management, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with project goals and budget constraints, ensuring optimal resource allocation.
  2. Manage the entire procurement lifecycle, from identifying suppliers to negotiating contracts and managing purchase orders.
  3. Utilize SAP software to streamline procurement processes, maintain accurate inventory levels, and generate reports on procurement activities.
  4. Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities, pricing, and reliability.
  5. Collaborate with project managers and engineers to determine material specifications and delivery timelines to meet project schedules.
  6. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues related to quality, delivery, and compliance with contractual terms.
  7. Prepare and manage procurement budgets, ensuring that all expenditures are tracked and reported accurately.
  8. Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement policies, regulations, and industry standards.

Preferred Candidate:

  1. Proven experience as a Procurement Engineer or in a similar role within the civil engineering industry.
  2. Strong knowledge of SAP procurement modules and their application in managing procurement processes.
  3. Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  4. Analytical mindset with the ability to assess complex data and make informed decisions.
  5. Detail-oriented and organized, capable of managing multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  6. Strong understanding of supply chain management principles and procurement best practices.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
  8. Relevant certifications in procurement or supply chain management are a plus.
  9. Fluency in English; knowledge of additional languages is an advantage.
  10. Willingness to adapt to changing project requirements and work in a fast-paced environment.
