Cornerstone Montgomery – Licensed Practical Nurse

Responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse

  • Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections as prescribed, such as Haldol, Prolixin, Risperdal Consta, Relprev, etc.
  • Complete point of care testing with clients. (ex Athelas ANC levels, Urine Drug Screens, etc.)
  • Consults/collaborates with treatment team members around psychiatric and somatic care issues, including but not limited to treatment and referrals.
  • Provides support to prescribers as directed such as collecting vital signs, review of health systems data collection, document changes in symptoms since last visit, triaging clients, etc.

Qualifications of the Licensed Practical Nurse

  • Associates Degree from an accredited School of Nursing
  • Active Maryland LPN licensure required
