Overview
We are seeking a skilled Ironworker to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various welding techniques and metal fabrication processes. As an Ironworker, you will play a crucial role in constructing and reinforcing steel structures, ensuring safety and quality standards are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble metal structures according to blueprints and specifications.
Utilize power tools, plasma cutting equipment, and welding techniques to shape and join metal components.
Interpret schematics and technical drawings to execute precise measurements and cuts.
Operate machinery such as press brake machines for bending metal sheets.
Perform stick welding and other welding methods to ensure strong joints in metal assemblies.
Conduct inspections of completed work to verify adherence to safety regulations and quality standards.
Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and project completion within deadlines.
Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition, reporting any malfunctions or safety hazards.

Experience

Proven experience in ironworking or a related field is preferred.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
Familiarity with basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication processes.
Experience with various welding techniques including stick welding is highly desirable.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, including schematics, blueprints, and project plans.
A commitment to safety practices in a construction environment.
