About Our EHR Services Team Our EHR Services practice is a rapidly growing division within Optum Insight's Advisory and Implementations business unit, comprising over 600 professionals across the U.S. and Ireland. Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Epic Professional Billing Analyst to join our EHR Services team. As an Epic Professional Billing Analyst, you will play a critical role in managing integration teams, training best practices, and aligning with EHR Services to ensure successful project execution. You will have the flexibility to work remotely from anywhere within the U.S., taking on challenging projects and collaborating with our team to drive innovation and excellence in healthcare technology. Primary Responsibilities • Work on Professional Billing configuration changes and builds, maintaining industry and client standards, ensuring build quality and timeline adherence, and debugging and resolving issues/defects. • Translate user requirements into functional and technical design specifications, reviewing with clients to ensure accuracy and meeting their needs. • Serve as a mentor and subject matter expert to local and client-based team members, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project outcomes. • Lead small to medium complexity Epic software upgrade initiatives or enhancements to workflows, including design, build, and test phases. • Participate in design and validation sessions, ensuring appropriate documentation, follow-up, and issue escalation. • Function as a liaison between Operations, Information Technology (IT), and Third-Party Systems, facilitating effective communication and collaboration. • Provide support for application incidents reported through the help desk, including 24/7 on-call coverage as required. • Provide assigned on-site support during go-lives and system upgrades, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal disruptions. • Obtain and maintain in-depth knowledge of software functionality, acquiring and utilizing knowledge of operational workflows to be implemented. • Perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Epic software. • Work with trainers to develop and maintain application-specific training curriculum and materials, ensuring that end-users have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively utilize the system. • Adhere to organization standards for system configuration and change control, ensuring compliance and minimizing risks. • Develop solid relationships with end-user communities, customers, and business partners, fostering a culture of collaboration and open communication. • Attend, participate in, and contribute to meetings throughout the facility, staying informed and up-to-date on project developments and organizational initiatives. Required Qualifications • Active/current Epic certification in at least one area Epic Professional Billing and/or Epic Professional Billing Claims. • 3+ years of healthcare experience, with a deep understanding of the industry and its complexities. • 2+ years of Epic experience, with a strong foundation in EHR systems and their applications. • 2+ years of direct client healthcare domain knowledge, such as billing, payment posting, self-pay/insurance follow-up, denial management, customer service, or vendor management. • 2+ years of Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in relevant applications, with a proven track record of success in similar roles. • Ability to travel up to 25%, with a willingness to adapt to changing project requirements and client needs. Preferred Qualifications • Completed Epic CEE (Continued Epic Education) to maintain certifications, proficiencies, and badges, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing learning and professional dev
