Job Summary As a Medical Record/Data Entry Clerk/Project Support Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting our Revenue Recovery Department team. This hybrid position offers a unique blend of remote and in-office work, with a mix of 2/3 days on-site and off-site work. You will be responsible for assisting with various projects, including data entry, medical record retrieval, and report generation. Key Responsibilities * Project associate related duties + Retrieve patient medical records from various Hospital systems, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. + Generate and prepare patient itemized bills in appropriate formats for internal and external audits. + Extract and enter necessary information from/to Hospital patient accounting systems. + Make phone calls to Post Acute Healthcare Facilities to obtain information needed on patients. + Run and create reports to support revenue recovery efforts. + Assist with any other information gathering or data entry as needed by the recovery team. + Scan and index documents to ensure efficient storage and retrieval. * Collaborate with the Revenue Recovery Department team to ensure seamless project execution. * Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including registered nurses, coding professionals, and billing specialists. * Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in medical records management and revenue cycle management. Essential Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, business, or computer science) preferred. * 1-2 years of experience in medical records management, data entry, or a related field. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with electronic health records (EHRs) and hospital patient accounting systems. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously. * Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
