Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in a data center;
Operate independently with limited direct management;
Act as an escalation point for all facilities-related issues within the data center, escalating to the Data Center Facility Manager as needed;
Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures.
Troubleshoot and report of facility and data sever-level events within internal SLA;
Create and deploy new standard practices for Engineering Operation Technicians, Chief Technician and vendor support teams;
Provide training and guidance to Engineering Operation Technicians;

Utilize internal CMMS to manage building workflows;
Communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience;
Fully comply with all physical security procedures and policies;

Basic Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of relevant work experience in a data center or other critical environment;
In depth understanding of the electrical and mechanical systems involved in critical data center operations such as: generators, transformers, switchgear, UPS systems, ATS units, PDU units, pumps, air handling units, and CRAC units;
Familiar with BMS and EPMS control systems and data collection/trending;
Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 lbs and or work in elevated locations;
Ability to work in an environment that operates 24/7 with an ability to provide after-hours support as needed. All physical requirements are expected with reasonable accommodations;

Bachelor's or College's degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent work experience in Mechanical/Electrical Field;
Electrical or Mechanical trade (Post-Secondary Education);
