The Slab Boutique by François & Co. is hiring a Skilled Crane Operator to join our growing team. We are seeking a safety-conscious professional with strong mechanical skills and hands-on experience operating cranes, specifically for moving heavy marble slabs. Responsibilities:

Safely operate cranes and other heavy equipment to unload containers and stage marble slabs.
Receive incoming shipments; inspect for damages, verify quantities, and match against purchase orders and packing slips.
Report and document any discrepancies or quality concerns.
Organize and store incoming materials in the correct warehouse locations, ensuring slabs are properly labeled and protected.
Move and set up slabs for client viewings.
Prepare slabs for refinishing and shipments following company procedures.
Accurately pick and prepare orders for delivery.
Assist with loading slabs onto delivery trucks and complete local deliveries when needed.
Perform regular inventory checks and maintain accurate stock levels.
Follow all safety guidelines and operational protocols to ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

Proven experience operating cranes (specifically in warehouse or materials handling environments).
Knowledge of safe material handling practices, especially with marble, stone, or other fragile materials.
Ability to inspect shipments and accurately track inventory.
Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
Valid driver's license (required); CDL is a plus but not mandatory.
Ability to lift 75+ lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and commitment to workplace safety.
