Principal Duties
The Claims Supervisor performs the following tasks:
  • Supervises the processing of disability determination claims.
  • Reports to an administrator or assistant administrator.
  • Supervises subordinate personnel, including: hiring recommendations, determining workload and delegating assignments, training, monitoring and evaluating performance, and initiating corrective or disciplinary actions to include termination.
  • Assists claims examiners in caseload management; review and report on the status of claims production and process.
  • Implements administrative policies and directives as outlined by the administration.
  • Coordinates and interprets policies and procedures to ensure uniformity in the disability determination process.
  • Mediates complex and/or disputed claims between claims examiners, medical consultants and quality assurance staff.
The Ideal Candidate
The model applicant for this position is someone who:
  • Has 2 or more years of DDS examiner work experience.
