Headquartered in San Francisco, our investors include <strong>Benchmark</strong>, <strong>General Catalyst</strong>, <strong>Peter Thiel</strong>, <strong>Adam D'Angelo</strong>, <strong>Larry Summers</strong>, and <strong>Jack Dorsey</strong>.<br><br><strong>Position:</strong> Payment-posting & Reconciliation Manager<br><br><strong>Type:</strong> <strong>Contract<br><br></strong><strong>Compensation:</strong> <strong>$85/hour<br><br></strong><strong>Location:</strong> <strong>Remote<br><br></strong><strong>Role Responsibilities<br><br></strong><ul><li>Oversee cash posting and payment reconciliation operations, including ERA/835 processing, manual EOB posting, and lockbox reconciliation.</li><li>Evaluate AI-generated payment posting outputs, ERA matching recommendations, and reconciliation reports for accuracy and completeness.</li><li>Manage electronic and manual payment posting workflows across multiple payers and payment types.</li><li>Reconcile posted payments against bank deposits, lockbox reports, and payer remittances to ensure accuracy.</li><li>Identify and resolve posting errors, misapplied payments, and unapplied cash.</li><li>Monitor cash posting KPIs, including posting accuracy rates, days to post, unapplied cash balances, and reconciliation variance.</li><li>Collaborate with billing, A/R, and finance teams to resolve payment discrepancies and ensure timely cash close.</li><li>Ensure compliance with internal controls, HIPAA, and audit requirements for cash handling.</li><li>Annotate AI outputs and provide structured feedback to support AI training datasets.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Qualifications<br><br></strong><strong>Must-Have<br><br></strong><ul><li>5+ years of experience in cash posting, payment reconciliation, or revenue cycle operations, with at least 2 years in a management role.</li><li>Deep knowledge of ERA/835 electronic remittance processing, EOB interpretation, and lockbox reconciliation.</li><li>Strong understanding of payer payment methodologies and remittance adjustment reason codes.</li><li>Experience managing high-volume payment posting operations across multiple payers.</li><li>Proficiency with billing systems and payment posting platforms (Epic, Athenahealth, or equivalent).</li><li>Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.</li><li>High attention to detail with the ability to identify posting errors and discrepancies in AI-generated payment outputs.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Preferred<br><br></strong><ul><li>CRCR, CPC, or CHFP certification.</li><li>Experience with automated ERA posting platforms and RPA-driven cash posting solutions.</li><li>Background in hospital or physician group cash posting operations with multi-payer complexity.</li><li>Familiarity with AI tools and comfort evaluating AI-generated remittance and payment content.</li><li>Experience developing cash posting SOPs and internal control frameworks.<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Application Process (Takes 20–30 mins to complete)<br><br></strong><ul><li>Upload resume</li><li>AI interview based on your resume</li><li>Submit form<br><br><br></li></ul><strong>Resources & Support<br><br></strong><ul><li>For details about the interview process and platform information, please check: any help or support, reach out to: support@mercor.com<br><br><br></li></ul><em>PS: Our team reviews applications daily.
