Hi there! My name is Jonathan and i am looking for help for my wedding company! We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable bookkeeper who is proficient in QuickBooks to support our growing business. We also need help with some light administrative work Ex. managing and organizing state filing for the different states that we work in, Online payroll adjustments and EIN requests and filing inside our payroll provider, Google Drive management of important company formation documents etc. Please read We manage wedding and event venues and we were started by a husband and wife team over 10 years ago. Since then we've grown to 10 locations across 4 states with employees in 9 states..and counting! There are a lot of moving parts. We are working on becoming more organized and want to be excellent when it comes to keeping our books and documents in the Drive across the company organized. This role will help our controller with that and work directly with the owners and members of the admin team. We use Asana for project management, the Google Drive for document storage, Paylocity for our payroll provider, Quickbooks Online for our bookkeeping and accounting software, we do moderately/heavily use AI, and use Ramp for handling and organizing company expenses. Core Responsibilities Maintain accurate financial records and ensure all transactions are properly recorded and transactions matched across company cards and accounts Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable Reconcile bank and credit card statements on a regular basis Process invoices, payments, and expense reports Monitor cash flow and report any discrepancies or concerns Maintain organized and up-to-date financial documentation Assist with payroll processing and tracking (if applicable) Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow) Support budgeting and forecasting efforts with controller Ensure compliance with company policies and basic accounting standards Day-to-Day Tasks Enter and categorize transactions in QuickBooks Match deposits and payments to invoices Follow up on outstanding invoices and financial documents Review accounts for errors or inconsistencies Communicate with team members regarding financial questions or needs Assist with year-end prep and coordination with CPA/tax professional Coordinate with controller for help with special projects Qualifications Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online preferred) Experience using RAMP or similar software Experience using Paylocity or other similar payroll software Experience and proficiency using AI tools like Claude and Chat GPT Prior bookkeeping or accounting experience (small/medium size business experience a plus) Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work independently and manage time effectively Need to be very organized and able to communicate well Thorough understanding of accounting principles Position Details Location Remote Pay $22–$25 per hour (based on experience) Hours 10–15 hours per week to start (potential to grow) Flexible schedule - will discuss on interview We are seeking a skilled bookkeeper proficient in QuickBooks Online to support our growing business.
