About the position

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day operational activities on the airfield and facilities in compliance with regulations.
  • Supervise Operations Department staff and ensure effective staffing and training.

  • Recommend capital improvement projects and coordinate construction schedules to minimize impact on operations.
  • Coordinate and manage airfield training programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Aviation Management, Airport Operations, Business or related field.
  • Five years of progressively responsible experience in Airport Operations and regulatory agency interaction.
  • Valid driver's license with no serious or frequent traffic violations.
  • Knowledge of FAR Parts 139 and 77, FAA advisory circulars, and TSR Part 1542.
  • Ability to lead and manage the work of others and deliver excellent customer service.
  • Strong decision-making skills under stressful conditions.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using spreadsheets, word processing, and presentation software.

Nice-to-haves

  • 3 years of operations experience related to snow removal.
  • Pilot or prior airport operations or Air Traffic Control experience.
  • Aviation industry recognized certification or accreditation, particularly as an Airport Executive (AAE).
