The Role Responsible for driving sales account development within the SLED organization across the New York State territory. This role focuses on delivering technical solutions and product offerings to grow revenue, expand brand awareness, and develop the territory. Location This is a remote (work-from-home) position. The selected candidate must be able to meet with customers in the Albany, NY area on a regular basis (e.g., weekly or biweekly). The Main Responsibilities •Responsible for developing sales in the designated target market(s) by identifying new sales opportunities with prospective SLED customers headquartered in the region by cold calling, premise visits, networking, lead generation, proposal submission, and customer appointments.  •Hit a minimum attainment in defined targets for revenue creation and revenue obtainment   •Develop a deep and wide network of contacts within each account  •After winning new business you will be required to manage customer relationships to gain strategic positioning with decision makers, retain existing revenue and obtain additional business.  •Develop and implement sales account plans that provide clearly defined strategies, tactics and timeframes to maximize revenue. Take ownership of the geographic territory designated by management.  •Continually learn and develop knowledge of new technologies and selling points including enhancing expertise in the company's products and solutions.  •Utilize Salesforce.com to provide accurate and detailed weekly forecast funnel of identified and proposed opportunities in order to meet or exceed sales quota requirements.  What We Look For in a Candidate Basic Qualifications:  •Approximately 5+ years of Telecommunications sales experience.  •Approximately 2+ years of SLED or Public Sector sales experience.  Preferred Knowledge, Skills or Abilities:  •Proven experience in technology solution selling (Network, UCaaS, Security, Colocation), ideally within New York State SLED customers.  •Proven success in hunting, prospecting, and new account development.  •Experience with CRM - Salesforce preferred.  •Demonstrated strong communication, written, and formal presentation skills as well as a proven high close rate.  •Self-motivated, pro-active, results-oriented professional with the ability to work with minimum direction.  •Operates with a sense of urgency and is customer centric  •Proficient in MS office products: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.  •Attention to detail with good organizational capabilities.  •Ability to multitask, prioritize, and have good time management skills.  •Requires at least 25% or more of time conducting sales activities outside of the office. Compensation This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
